My husband and I have been discussing what to do with the nursery. Do we pick a theme? Do we keep it fun but classy like a potterbarn kids room
or do we totally go crazy and make the room super fun kid-style? Since the rest of our house is pretty classy, we’ve decided to go crazy. The latest theme I have come up with is “underwater” where the whole room would feel like you were a fish or some other sea creature. Not so much “Little Mermaid” but more “Atlantis.” I haven’t totally convinced my husband of this yet but we’re still brainstorming. Here are some pictures that have inspired me…
These underwater murals have the bright colors that I want but I think we will take a more graphic art approach, rather than realistic.
I love all of these for the background on the walls. Some are going to be easier to paint than others…
And here are just some other rooms that had elements I liked..
Does anyone else have any room theme suggestions?

Wow! That under the sea may scare the baby!
My opinion, do that for when they are a little older.

How fun!

Thanks for your opinion. I don’t think we’ll paint any scary sea creatures on the wall. Babies love looking at things with lots of contrast so we’ll try to keep that in mind when we paint the mural.
