My husband and I have decided to start a family and like any new experience, I dove headfirst into research. I have always been fascinated with the human body and amazed at how complex it is. Watching documentaries like the Miracle of Life and exploring the Hall of Life exhibit at the Denver Museum as a child always invigorated me. Quite simply, the human body is amazing. I would have liked to explore a career in medicine but there’s no way I could cut anyone open or stitch anyone up. So, I now find myself watching the Miracle of Life again but this time I can more closely relate. In what I have learned thus far, I think the most interesting aspects of the baby-making process is the stuff that you won’t find in any “expecting” baby books. In fact, no one really ever talks about the cool stuff, like vaginal secretion and what breast milk tastes like. So here goes.
