Two months ago, I had called my gynecologist because I had a big ‘ole pile of thick goo in my underwear. It held it’s own shape and was kind of stretchy. I totally freaked out because I had never seen this before. I told him what I had found and he said, “don’t worry, you probably just ovulated.” Hearing this I was still confused. “But why haven’t I had this before?” I asked. His reply was, “Well Jill, how long have you been on birth control?” Duh! I’ve been on birth control for a LONG time and you don’t ovulate when you’re on it. So just two months ago, at the age of 26, was the the first time I had ovulated since the age of 15. Wow, what have I done to my body? I’m glad I wasn’t able to get pregnant until now but sometimes you have stop and think about how you are altering the natural way of your body and how crazy it is. Regardless, I was certainly prepared for more globbity goo when predicting my ovulation day.
